The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover

A ruthless mafia boss dines noisily every night with his wife and entourage in a French restaurant he has recently purchased.

His wife is fed up with her husband's sadistic behavior and has taken on a gentler lover, whom she meets secretly with the help of a chef during her evening restaurant visits.

This modern story ironically explores the connections between food, sex, love and murder, and it caused quite a stir at the Cannes Film Festival.
