What followed was a nuclear holocaust known as Doomsday and a war between the remnants of humanity and the machines. In 2029, John Connor has discovered the last straw for the machines: a time machine. Skynet has already sent a Terminator to 1984 to target John's mother, Sarah Connor.
John sends his right-hand man, Sergeant Kyle Reese, to protect Sarah. In the whirlwind of time travel, just before he moves to 1984, Reese has time to see how John is being secretly attacked. However, an unexpected turn of events changes the course of events. Kyle Reese finds himself in a past that does not resemble the history he knows.
He encounters surprising new allies, such as a Terminator turned protector, and completely new kinds of enemies. His mission also changes shape: now he must rewrite the future.
