Sue, who is being abused by her husband, asks Leon, who lives next door, for help. The somewhat simple-minded Leon seeks advice from three bookies who already have a tough cop and a client who won't pay his debts. The film, which combines drama, action and black comedy, also stars Amy Brenneman (Amy's Law), Jimmy Smits (NYPD Blue), Michael Badalucco (Justice and Justice) and John Spencer (The West Wing).
