Barnabas returns to the town of Collinsport, Maine, to find his family's mansion in ruins. He meets the current members of the Collins family, including the owner Elizabeth (played by Michelle Pfeiffer), her brother Roger (played by Jonny Lee Miller), and their son David (played by Gulliver McGrath). Barnabas tries to help his family restore its former glory while fighting off the dark forces that threaten them.
The film follows the challenges Barnabas and the Collins family face as they battle evil forces and uncover family secrets. Barnabas also finds love again when he meets Elizabeth's daughter Victoria (played by Bella Heathcote), who reminds him of his lost love.
"Dark Shadows" combines horror, comedy and fantasy themes in the signature Tim Burton style. The film depicts a fascinating ghost world and vampire mythology. It also explores family ties, ghosts of the past and the possibility of a new beginning.
