Tomek is a young and lonely postal worker whose secret crush is the beautiful and liberal Magda. However, the shy Tomek cannot muster up enough courage to approach Magda and is content to observe her from the house next door, through a telescope. But Magda is not as romantic as Tomek's heart would like, because the young woman believes only in sex, not love. Realizing this fact throws Tomek's life off track. But what doesn't kill makes him stronger?
