The peaceful atmosphere of Bushwood Country Club is shaken when amusing and crazy events begin to take over the club's everyday life. The club members include the tough-minded Judge Smails (Ted Knight), the wealthy and arrogant Ty Webb (Chevy Chase), the young caddie Danny (Michael O'Keefe) and the golf pro Carl (Bill Murray).
Many antics and confrontations occur at the club between the different characters. Carl fights with rodents, and becomes the club's surprise enemy. Judge Smails, on the other hand, tries to maintain order and discipline at the club, but constantly finds himself in the middle of amusing situations.
Danny struggles with his own dreams and expectations as he strives to improve his game and win the Caddy competition. At the same time, he falls in love with a young woman from the club, which causes more mischief and tension within the club.
"The Top" is full of funny situations, hilarious characters and the madness of the golf world. It offers plenty of laughter and satirical humor, which makes it an iconic comedy film. The acting performances, such as Bill Murray's iconic role, make the film unforgettable and a favorite film for many comedy fans.
