Einar and Mitch are two old cowboys who are visited by Einar's daughter-in-law Jean and her 11-year-old daughter Griff. Jean has fled her abusive boyfriend Gary and can't find any other place to stay than her father-in-law's farm. 10 years earlier, Jean left the farm after her husband Griffin died in a car accident while Jean was driving. Einar is still bitter towards Jean and has not kept in touch. Griff has never even known about his grandfather, who turns out to be a grumpy…
