Under Moses' leadership, the Israelites suffer from the harsh oppression and slavery of the Egyptian Pharaoh. God sends ten terrible plagues on Egypt to force Pharaoh to release the Israelites. The plagues include blood, frogs, pestilence, and darkness. The final plague is the death of the angel of death, who kills Pharaoh's firstborn. After this, Pharaoh gives in and frees the Israelites.
The Israelites leave Egypt and set out on a journey towards the Promised Land. Led by Moses, they face many challenges, including the parting of the Red Sea, where they find safety from the Egyptian army. Along the way, they receive the Ten Commandments from God, which contain instructions for righteous living and relationships.
