Nurse Greg Focker plans to propose to his girlfriend Pam during a weekend visit to her parents. However, there is one twist in the road: Greg must first ask Pam's father for permission. Unfortunately, Pam's father, former CIA agent Jack Brynes, immediately dislikes his daughter's boyfriend. Greg's desperate search for approval backfires and the laws of the Myrphy take over. Four years after nurse Greg (aka Gaylord) Focker managed to lose his suitcase, start a fire and paint a cat over the weekend at his in-laws' house, he has finally managed to gain his father-in-law's trust and all the wedding plans. More than one obstacle must be overcome: the future in-laws must spend a weekend together to get to know each other better and, above all, so that the bride's father, Jack, can investigate Greg's parents. Everything seems to be going well until Jack discovers that Greg's parents (a lawyer and a doctor) are too liberal: he takes care of the house and she is the older sex therapist.
