The story begins when FBI agent Frank Castle and his family are on a picnic in Central Park. They accidentally find themselves in the middle of a fight between crime boss Howard Saint and his henchmen. Howard Saint, who has lost several of his henchmen in the fight, vows revenge and decides to murder Frank Castle and his family.
A few weeks later, Howard Saint's men attack the Castles' home and kill Frank's wife and child. Frank himself survives, but vows revenge. He becomes the Punisher and begins planning and carrying out his bloody revenge against Howard Saint and his criminal empire.
The Punisher's quest for revenge takes him to the Saints' henchmen, and he receives help from Joan, his neighbor, who offers him shelter and tactical support. Frank also teams up with three other victims of crime who want revenge in their own way. Together, they form an unlikely team that aims to take down Howard Saint and put an end to his criminal activities.
The Punisher's revenge campaign progresses in a bloody and violent way as he takes down Saint's subordinates one by one. Frank also has to face his own inner demons and ponder the ethical questions of justice and revenge. Eventually, he has the opportunity to face Howard Saint himself and end his bloody revenge campaign.
"The Punisher" is a dark and action-packed film that mixes violence, revenge and punishment for crimes. The film presents the complexity of the Punisher's character and his constant fight for justice in its own fierce way.
