Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Joel (Jim Carrey) is shocked to learn that his girlfriend Clementine (Kate Winslet) has erased their tumultuous relationship from his memory. In desperation, he contacts the inventor of the method, Dr. Howard Mierzwiak (Tom Wilkinson), to erase his own memory. But as his memories of Clementine begin to fade, Joel realizes how much he still loves her.
