The film's story begins when mysterious events occur near the desert in New Mexico. A local police officer finds a little girl who appears to be in shock and tells them about "them." FBI special agents Robert Graham (played by James Whitmore) and Harold Medford (played by Edmund Gwenn) soon arrive in the area and begin investigating the case.
As the investigation progresses, it becomes clear that the ants have mutated due to radioactive radiation and grown to enormous sizes. They form a threatening and aggressive horde that causes destruction and danger to their surroundings. The film's main characters must develop ways to stop the ants and prevent their spread.
"The Beasts of the Night!" is a classic horror film that combines elements of the science fiction and horror genres. The film creates a tense and haunting atmosphere as humanity battles against the overwhelming force of giant ants. At the same time, it deals with themes of fear and terror, as well as the ability of humans to survive and unite in the face of adversity.
