Mariachi's quest for revenge brings him face to face with a drug lord named Bucho (Joaquim de Almeida), who is responsible for his beloved's death. Mariachi decides to take on the task of destroying Bucho and his drug cartel. Along the way, he teams up with Carmen (Salma Hayek), a fighter against Bucho.
