A strange dust covers Moominvalley, and the Piisamirotta predicts the end of the world. What is this threat from space? Moomin, Snufkin and Sniff build a raft with the help of Moominpappa and set off to investigate the matter in the Lonely Mountains. Perhaps the wise professors at the observatory can tell what it is all about. Along the way, they encounter not only old friends Sniffer, Sniffer and Hemuli, but also many new, strange creatures and dangers.
