The film tells the story of fifteen Franks and one Pekka and their journey from the Kallio district to Eira. Kallio has become too cramped for those who have lived there their entire lives, and in their dreams there is the mythical Eira that has already appeared in their grandparents' stories, where the streets are flat and the parks are green. However, the journey to the Eira of their dreams turns out to be dangerous and in the end only two of the Franks reach Eira. But they discover they have been deceived... or that they have simply arrived too late...
