Chip (JIM CARREY) is a crazy cable TV installer who suffers from loneliness. He never knew his father, his mother worked in bars and his nanny was the TV. Chip now goes door to door, but no one wants him to stay longer than necessary. You can usually get a free movie channel by slipping $50 into the cable guy's pocket. But when Steven Kovacs tries this trick, he makes the mistake of his life. Because Chip doesn't want money. All he wants is friendship. And Steven learns the hard way…
